Ferry Refit – Tamar II – April 2019 – Updated 30th April 2019

Progress remains good. The prow refurbishment programme which includes structural repairs, replacement of hinges and bearings, extensive work on the hydraulic system, and repainting is progressing well, and along with the repainting of the superstructure, hull and decks is a major focus at the moment. All the other work is progressing to schedule. The photographs below show the hull cleaned back and prepared ready for initial touching up and subsequent antifouling application, and the new main chain drive wheel ‘segments’ in place.
