Ferry Refit – Tamar II – April 2019 – Updated 24th April 2019

Good progress so far. The underside of the ferry has been cleaned off to enable structural surveys, the prows are both off and the repair and refurbishment has started, and the removal of the worn non-slip paint on the vehicle deck and upper decks has been completed and the red primer is being applied to the bare metal. Inside the ferry 75% of the cabling for the new CCTV system has been installed, the old deck coverings in the passenger area have been lifted and the screed on which the new covering will be laid has been repaired and prepared, and there is lots of activity in the engine room.
