Torpoint Ferry – Inside the Engine Room

Have you ever wondered what happens inside the engine room of one of the Torpoint ferries?

While the ferries are a common sight for people regularly crossing the river between Torpoint and Devonport, very few people have actually been below the deck or seen inside the engine room.

We asked one of our ferry team to tour the engine room and explain how the unusual engineering and complex technical equipment works.
