Unfortunately ongoing technical issues with the power management system on the TAMAR have not yet been resolved.
Despite every effort being made by UK experts and remote assistance from the equipment manufacturer in Denmark, it has become necessary for the equipment manufacturer’s specialist to attend in person and he is flying in from Denmark late on Sunday to start work on Monday morning.
We have been nursing the TAMAR through the past week but the situation has reached a stage where we cannot ensure resilient operation of the vessel beyond tomorrow morning.
From 0930 tomorrow we will therefore reduce to a two-ferry service until completion of the remedial action by the specialist.
