Following extensive diagnostic and fault finding efforts conducted by Tamar Crossings staff, in conjunction with the equipment manufacturer, a defect has been identified in the very complex power electronics system associated with managing the propulsion motors on the LYNHER II Ferry.
The manufacturer,of the propulsion systems, is currently reviewing the data and will be discussing potential repair solutions with us. We are therefore, unfortunately, currently unable to provide a definitive timescale by which the issue will be resolved. Please be assured that we are progressing this issue as quickly as possible and that we will provide updates as and when new information becomes available.
