Christmas at Tamar Crossings
TAMAR CROSSINGS WOULD LIKE TO WISH ALL SERVICE USERS A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR
Tamar Bridge
Tamar Bridge tolls will be suspended from 0000 on 25th December 2025 until 2359 on 25th December 2025 (midnight to midnight).
The Bridge will be open as usual throughout the Christmas and New Year period. Drivers are requested to approach the toll plaza and pass through the booths with care, as there may occasionally be Bridge staff crossing behind the toll booths.
Torpoint Ferry
Torpoint Ferry tolls will be suspended from 0000 on 25th December 2025 until 2359 on 25th December 2025 (midnight to midnight).
Barring adverse weather conditions, the following ferry schedule will operate over the Christmas and New Year periods:
Wednesday 24th December (Christmas Eve) – 2 ferry service from 06:30 to 2100 thereafter a half hourly service will operate.
Thursday 25th December (Christmas Day) - one ferry / half hourly service will operate all day and all night.
Friday 26th December (Boxing Day) - 2 ferry / fifteen-minute service from 10:00 to 18:30 – thereafter a one ferry / half hourly service will operate
Saturday 27th December – 2 ferry service from 08:00 to 17:30 thereafter a half hourly service will operate.
Sunday 28th December – 2 ferry service from 08:00 to 17:30 thereafter a half hourly service will operate.
Monday 29th December– 2 ferry service from 06:30 to 18:30 thereafter a half hourly service will operate.
Tuesday 30th December – 2 ferry service from 06:30 to 18:30 thereafter a half hourly service will operate.
Wednesday 31 December – 2 ferry service from 06:30 to 18:30 thereafter a half hourly service will operate.
Thursday 1st January (New Years Day) – 2 ferry service from 10:00 to 18:30 thereafter a half hourly service will operate.
Friday 2nd January onwards – normal winter weekday service resumes.
The night service, that runs from 22:00 to 06:00, remains unchanged (seven nights a week) throughout the whole period and is a half hourly service, on the hour and half hour from Torpoint, and quarter to and quarter past the hour from Devonport.
Visitor and Learning Centre
The Visitor and Learning Centre will be open every day during the Christmas and New Year period except for Christmas Day.
The Centre will also be closed for two weeks from 5th January 2026.

The customer service offices at the Bridge and the Ferry will be open at:

Normal office hours resume from 5th January 2026.
Customers with tag related queries (ie. top ups/vehicle amendments/additional tags) during periods when the offices are closed should use their online accounts. Additional tag requests received during this period and any general queries will be responded to by staff on the days when the offices are open. Violations can be paid online 24hrs via our website, by clicking on violation payments at the top of your screen and following the instructions.
