Why hasn’t the price for crossing the ferry been increased, given its high operating costs?
We are very conscious that the Torpoint Ferry is a vital service for the local community.
Many people rely on the ferry for work, education, healthcare and essential services. Increasing ferry tolls significantly could place a disproportionate burden on those communities.
It could also lead to more people driving to the bridge instead, which would mean longer journeys, higher fuel costs and greater environmental impact.
