If TamarTag must be self-funding, why not make the ferry self-funding too?

TamarTag account holders currently receive a 50% discount on both bridge and ferry crossings.

The proposal relates specifically to making the administration of the TamarTag scheme self-funding, rather than being subsidised by other revenue streams. This would help ensure we can continue offering the discounted crossings to account holders.

The consultation survey also asks users whether they think different toll levels for the bridge and ferry should be considered, and feedback on this will help inform future decisions.
