Bridge – Resurfacing Update 11th September 2021

During the past week Volker Laser have continued with main deck works. This has included preparing the steel deck and edge details in readiness for the blasting and waterproofing operations which are scheduled to take place next week, depending on the weather. Crews have also worked overnight to resurface the toll plaza area and bridge approaches and refresh the road markings.

During this coming week VolkerLaser will begin deck blasting, priming and waterproofing works on the main deck. They will also install a new high friction anti-skid material to the newly laid tarmac on the toll plaza areas and toll booth lanes.
