Toll Revision Application – 7th April 2022
The Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry Joint Committee has applied to the Secretary of State for Transport for an Order, under Section 6 of the Transport Charges (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1954, to revise tolls on the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry.
The general effect of the application is to increase all cash tolls by 30%, rounding down to the nearest 10p where applicable.
Discounted tolls for pre-paid crossings using the TamarTag scheme will increase by 30% from 1 May 2022, by reducing the discount on cash tolls from 50% to 35%.
If the proposed increases to cash tolls are subsequently approved and implemented, discounted tolls for pre-paid crossings will not be affected and the discount on cash tolls would effectively revert to 50%. The concession will not form part of the formal Toll Order.
