A Million TamarTag Crossings - 24.09.2007 : At 7.30pm on Friday 21st September,and after only 9 months of operation, the number of TamarTag transactions across the two Joint Committee facilities reached the million mark.
End of Voucher Sales - 01.02.2008 : Today marks an end of an era for users of the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry, as books of paper discount vouchers cease to be available for sale.
End of Voucher Sales as of 31st January 2008 - 10.12.2007 : Voucher Sales will cease on the 31st January 2008 and vouchers will continue to be accepted until 31st March 2008.
Tamar Bridge - New Tag-Only Toll Lane - 03.07.2007 : Starting from Wednesday 4 July 2007, TamarTag users travelling on the main Bridge deck will be offered another 'TAG ONLY' lane in the middle of the toll plaza, and this will be indicated by the words 'TAG ONLY' in red on the electronic sign above the toll lane, supported by signing at road level. USERS PAYING BY CASH AND MOTORCYCLISTS SHOULD NOT USE 'TAG ONLY' LANES
Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry Toll Consultation - 12.11.08 : The Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry Joint Committee has undertaken a publicity and consultation exercise in respect of the proposed 50% increase in Bridge and Ferry tolls scheduled to be introduced late next year.
Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry Toll Revision - 15.03.2010 : Tolls on the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry will increase with effect from Friday 19 March 2010 - the first increase in cash tolls for nearly 16 years, and the first increase in pre-paid tolls for 13 years.
Tamar Bridge Tag Only Lane - 16.08.2007 : From Monday 20th August 2007 we will be switching the tag-only lane to another booth on the main plaza and all drivers are requested to use due caution when approaching the Bridge toll plaza, following the instructions on overhead and road level equipment. USERS PAYING BY CASH AND MOTORCYCLISTS ARE REMINDED THAT THEY MUST NOT USE TAG-ONLY LANES.
Toll Revision Application - 21.08.09 : Publication of Formal Public Notice
Toll Revision Proposals Approved - 26.09.08 : At a meeting held on 26 September 2008, Members of the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry Joint Committee approved a proposal to raise tolls at both crossings by 50% from December 2009, to fund the forecast costs of operating, maintaining and improving the two crossings.
